Yoga & Meditation Classes
Yoga begins where we are, regardless of age, physical condition or state of mind. The poses are a map we follow. On the way we discover health, well-being, peace of mind, and boundless enthusiasm for life.
Class Descriptions
Beginner / Intermediate Yoga with Maria J. Garcia
Classes focus on building a strong foundation by bringing the body back to its natural alignment, reconnecting us to our core. Here the body is supported energetically (not solely by muscular strength), nerves and muscles release, the breath deepens and we have access to both stillness, and a vast reservoir of energy. Awareness of the energy / chakra system is simply introduced when appropriate through the poses.
This is a well rounded class appropriate for the beginner or intermediate student with a focus on the balance between releasing and strengthening. Individualized attention is given and poses are modified to meet your needs, Props are used to make poses available to the student without strain.

Beginner Meditation with Mamatha Talluri
Meditative practice is the link between the body, breath and the subtle energy of the spirit. Modern living, though wonderful, is challenging and stressful. Stress creates disharmony in the body and breath, affecting us physically and emotionally and taking us farther away from our true self.
Meditation for Beginners enables each and every student to experience this link by using a variety of tools (for lack of a better word) such as breath, visualization, music, chanting, light gazing, etc. After a few sessions, you will be able to see what works best for you. You may even find that in a few weeks you are able to connect to more than one tool or even all of them.
Experience the joy of dropping baggage and stress, of being in the moment, empowering yourself to love, to forgive… to be happy.
You are invited to attend a complimentary class. Please contact us to let us know you are coming and plan to arrive 15 minutes early.
